(Don’t) bring the pain

Everyone knows how much trouble youngsters can have with ear pain when planes take off and land, but traveling on rails is safe, right?  Sadly and surprisingly, no.

The changes in air pressure on the Eurostar from London to Paris are both significant and sudden. When squeezing through narrow tunnels at over 100MPH, the change in air pressure caused us and other passengers significant discomfort.

Somehow, Simon seemed to be the only one unphased, and we’re not entirely sure why.  But what is European train travel without a little mystery?
